CONNECTIONS
Edition 1 | March 23 2020
During this extraordinary time in our lives, the health, well-being and safety of those seeking recovery support is our top priority. Despite the need for social distancing, our services remain critical. We're flexing to those needs by being available to you via phone, email, and video, around the clock. Virtual support groups and individual peer support are up and running. We've got even more creative ideas up our sleeves to keep you engaged, learning, and staying resilient. Stay tuned. We will keep you updated on our ever-evolving new environment. We look forward to the day our family can once again welcome you with open arms at the doors of Rise Recovery. Until then, our hearts are still wide open, and we are here for you...no matter what.

I'm worried about my loved one due to the isolation that this crisis is causing. Who can help me?

Our partnership with Alpha Home, Lifetime Recovery, Pay It Forward and the United Way connects Bexar County to substance recovery resources and treatment facilities. Peer recovery coaches will answer your call, listen and answer questions, and connect you to the appropriate agency based on your specific need.

Event Updates
Public health is uppermost in our minds right now. We recognize there is uncertainty that our 20 th  Annual Benefit Breakfast will take place as planned. Unfortunately, given how quickly our situation is changing, our invitations were sent to print and mail before we could formalize a decision and know for certain what the next steps will bring. Anne Lamott is committed to being in San Antonio to support Rise Recovery and we are committed to bringing her here, no matter the circumstance, it's just a matter of when and how. Once plans are determined, we will communicate with you immediately. Our Annual Breakfast is our largest fundraiser of the year and we depend on it to fund our no cost recovery programs and services so we are humbly requesting your continued support of this event. Those of you who have generously purchased a table or ticket can choose between attending the rescheduled or reformatted event, treating your support as a fully tax-deductible contribution, or requesting a refund. If you need assistance, please email Carisa Heiss . Thank you, again, for your continued support.
We will continue to keep you updated in the coming days and weeks of our new virtual meetings, one on one counseling, and more. Thank you for your ongoing support of our no cost recovery programs serving Bexar County youth, young adults and families. Please visit our Big Give Emergency Recovery platform to donate towards services associated with this time of crisis. These are difficult times for us all, with major revenue- generating non profit events postponed and/or cancelled, we are in need of support now more than ever. In order to continue to offer no cost recovery services, the financial support of our community is critical.
Thank you from all of us at Rise Recovery.
