CHAMBER UPDATES | OCTOBER 27, 2022
Chamber Leaders-

Can u belief November is hear already? I am two! We ain't got much time until snow hits us between the I's and we have to dot our tees with garland. Gulf season is behind us and the Bengals are burrowing down.

Grammar and spelling mistakes are easy to see when you're looking for them or when they're obvious, right? The same holds true for the challenges in our business. If we can see what the problems are, we have a far easier time fixing them, don't we? However, as I mentioned in my last newsletter, we tend to forget to work ON our respective businesses, oftentimes because we're working IN the business due to staff shortages, or current circumstances that prevent strategic planning. Please take the time to slow your pace enough to accomplish these important tasks, especially as 2022 draws to a close. If you need help doing so, there are many resources available through chamber connections and consultative members that can help.

Last weekend, Patti and I found it amazing to see over 300 people coming together across the community for the Colerain Give-back Day. We had no less than 22 chamber member organizations represented, and countless hours of community service provided by our area youth at Northwest, Colerain, and LaSalle high schools. Seeing the hard work of these students, their parents & coaches alongside community leaders reflects the commitment to making Colerain a better place to live, work and play.

Over 60 people helped "spruce up" the Clippard YMCA and a myriad of volunteers helped pick up about 35 bags of litter along Colerain Avenue from Interstate 275 down to the Reagan Expressway. Homes of families in need and veterans were tended to and Groesbeck Park (behind the library) received a beautiful face-lift. Through the TeamUpToGreenUp initiative, we MUST find a way to help others to see that it is no longer okay to litter ANYWHERE, especially in this community where we live and work.

With November comes Thanksgiving and four weeks later we'll hit the Christmas holiday. My wish for you, your families, staff and respective businesses is that you can be thankful and find a peace that allows you to enjoy the holidays, rather than running through them as quickly as possible. Stop and smell the pine needles (not roses this time of year) and have a cup of coffee (or hot chocolate) with a neighbor or friend you haven't connected with in a while. If you have time, share your Colerain Chamber of Commerce experience with another business colleague or adjacent business.

Save the Date: Dec. 15th - Colerain Chamber Holiday Party - Pebble Creek

Blessings through the holiday season!

HOMEBUYS

HomeBuys utilizes ā€œopportunistic buying,ā€ which is a fancy way of saying our buyers find closeouts from major big box retailers and other great sources from across the world and pass the savings on to you. There’s no need to clip coupons or wait for sales – the prices at HomeBuys are always the lowest possible. That’s the ā€œLessā€ part in the tagline.

Now here’s where the ā€œBestā€ comes in. While what you see in the store will constantly change because of the closeout nature, what will not change is the quality of the items. We strive to find name brand closeouts and no matter what department you visit in our store, from food to wine to domestics to home dĆ©cor and more, we stock our shelves with high-quality items at prices that you have to see to believe.
