Let’s talk about MUSIC!

Singing is a wonderful way to bond with your baby, and it also helps him learn new words! Sing favorite family songs together while swaying, bouncing, and clapping with your little one.
INDOOR ACTIVITIES
Talking is Teaching

With your little one, make your own musical instrument! Use tape to shut one end of a paper towel tube. Fill it with a pinch of rice or beans and tape the other end. Decorate it with pictures or stickers, and then shake, twirl, and dance!

WHY TALKING IS TEACHING
Helping Kids Express Themselves Through Music
PBS Parents
“When kids engage with music, there is social and emotional work happening behind the scenes. Music increases a sense of emotional security for children, allowing them to feel safer to fully experience their feelings. It also regulates breathing, reduces stress hormones, and increases “happy hormones” in our bodies.”
