The Pegasus Project is hosting Wings Over Pegasus — an airplane and equine extravaganza — at its 95-acre ranch in Murchison from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 16. Remembering Bob Luman
Bob Luman was born in Nacogdoches on April 15, 1937, and began playing music at an early age. He attended high school in Kilgore and formed his own band during that time. After meeting and being inspired by Elvis Presley he soon became a regular on the Louisiana Hayride in Shreveport. In 1960 just before being drafted into the U.S. Army, he released the single "Let’s Think About Living" which hit the Top 10 while he was in the service and started a long line of country hits. Explore Highway 80 Shopping
Antique and vendor malls in the Upper East Side of Texas are a favorite destination for many shoppers. There are several antique malls along the Highway 80 route that begins in Wills Point and continues east through Mineola and Gladewater. Many vendors are also setting up tents along Highway 80 this week on April 15 and 16 so there's plenty to choose from. READ MORE.

Texas Landscape Art Quilts Unroll 'A Sense of Place'
Longview Museum of Fine Arts (LMFA) is showing a collection of art quilts by members of Studio Art Quilt Associates (SAQA) through May 21.

A variety of regions provide inspiration for the exhibit titled A Sense of Place: Texas Landscape Art Quilts — from western desert habitats to the majestic caprocks to broad rolling plains and wide seascapes. Featured styles range from representational to abstract. READ MORE.
