Update - January 15, 2021
Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
We can safely celebrate MLK Day in Contra Costa
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s vision and dream of equality, equity and justice is more important than ever this year!  We must acknowledge that years of white supremacy threats culminated in last week's Capitol riots.

This is not a time to stand by and be silent. It's a time for all of us to stand up and speak out against racist and anti-democratic forces within our society.
Participating in a Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. event is one way to express our support for democratic values, equity, tolerance, love and justice.
Dr. King taught us that:

"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that."
