NEW IBERIA, La. -- The Cajun Rodeo Association Finals Rodeo will return to SugArena at Acadiana Fairgrounds for the third year in a row. The CRA Finals Rodeo 19 will bring the top competing cowboys and cowgirls to New Iberia from across Louisiana on December 6-7, 2019.

St. Martinville's very own, funnyman, Heath "The Dancin Cajun" Breaux will return as the specialty act and professional rodeo announcer, Clint Allemand of Schriever, La. will call the shots as the CRA brings you elite rodeo action.

The first performance will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday, December 6 with the final performance again starting at 7 p.m. on Saturday, December 7. Admission to the rodeo is $10 for adults, $5 for kids ages 6-10, with 5 and under admitted free. Gates will open at 5 p.m. and concessions will be sold.

Contestants will compete for year-end championships in their respected events such as Ranch Bronc Riding, Tie-Down Calf Roping, Breakaway Roping, Team Roping, Ladies Barrel Racing and the highly anticipated crowd favorite, Bull Riding. The rodeo will also feature the well-known Cajun Buddy Barrel Pick up event.

Calling home from as far as the Texas state line all the way to Southwest Mississippi, these contestants are coming prepared for the big reward. They have competed all year long working towards this opportunity to battle throughout the weekend for over $55,000 in cash and prizes.

"There is sure to be something for everyone at the CRA Finals Rodeo," said Amanda Johnson with the association. "We are proud to present to the public family-friendly entertainment at its finest. The rodeo will surely keep you on the edge of your seat all night long!"
