Nature Adventure Camps
resume on O ‘ ahu and Maui
Aloha,

Isn't it time that the kids got outside for fresh-air exploration of nature? Hawaii Nature Center is excited to announce the return of Nature Adventure Camps beginning June 1. The government gave nonprofits and children's centers the green light to resume operations in mid-May. With keiki out of school since March and many parents returning to work, NAC offers engaging, enriching and entertaining environmental education options in an outdoor setting.

While the forest, stream and our curriculum haven’t changed, our Nature Adventure Camps have adapted with additional emphasis on health and safety, especially as it relates to COVID-19.

HNC will follow CDC Guidelines for cleaning our centers, social distancing and other protocols to keep participants, parents and HNC staff healthy.  In addition, we have planned for these and other site-specific features.

  • Each week-long camp is limited to 30 students who will be divided in to three groups.
  • Keiki pickup and drop off will be curbside only.
  • Monitoring of proper hand washing will be conducted with the addition of an outdoor sink.
  • No offsite field trips (no buses).

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. I can be reached at [email protected] . Mahalo for your trust in HNC’s environmental program and approach to keeping your keiki healthy while exploring the wonders of nature.

Sincerely,
Executive Director | [email protected]
