Holiday Light Show

Let’s kick off the holiday season with a drive-in tree lighting and enjoy several county lighting displays! On December 4, 2020, you can join us in person or virtually for the lighting of the Currituck County Christmas Tree. The lighting will be held at the N.C. Cooperative Extension of Currituck County office (120 Community Way Barco NC 27917) at 6 p.m. All spectators must remain in their vehicles. We will light the tree, then encourage you to check out other drive-by lighting displays throughout the county.

While there will be no parade this year, Santa will still be making his rounds throughout the county with the help of our volunteer fire departments. Most routes will begin on December 18. Reach out to your local volunteer fire department for more complete details.

On Saturday, December 5 Currituck County Tourism and the Currituck Historical Society will sponsor a drive through tree lighting from 6 to 8 pm in front of the Courthouse on Courthouse Road. Santa Clause will be in attendance. Masks and distances will be enforced.

To receive email updates of lighting displays and a complete map of these displays to help you navigate the lighting displays prepared by Currituck County Departments, sign up at https://currituckholidaylightshow.eventbrite.com
