STAFF SPOTLIGHT
"She will always have the answer or find the answer if she does not know. Hannah volunteers to help, she chooses to serve others even when her plate is very full. She does all of this with a smile and a laugh everyday. "

What is your favorite part of working at HealthWest?
The people I’ve shared offices with. My coworkers have become some of the biggest supports in life and I could not do my job without them. I also love seeing what I call ‘little victories’ with the people we serve. For years, I got to cheer on kids as they met milestones their parents never knew they would achieve. Now, I have enjoyed the partnerships we have with the community to continue to meet needs outside our building walls.

Tell us a little bit about you.
I have a mini-me which is both a blessing and a curse and a Danish daughter (exchange student number three). I also gained a stepdaughter two years ago who is the very definition of ‘nomad’ and loving it.

If it is outdoors and/or active, I probably love it. Mountain biking, paddle boarding, kayaking, hiking, yoga, cross country skiing – we can find things to do in any weather! My husband and I recently started doing Adventure Races which are incredible but also great for working on our communication skills.

I wear sandals all year long.  Hallmark Christmas movies make me joyful.
.

What are your core values?
Honesty, Compassion, Kindness.
Balance and Adventure.

What are other committees, community groups, clubs, or passions are you involved in?
At this point, I feel like my life outside of HW is to be an unpaid taxi driver for Mikayla! Sports take up so much time and that girl has a crazy social life. I also teach a Sunday School class with the cutest kids and volunteer with Love Inc events and the anti-racism taskforce in Grand Haven.
