Countdown to Christmas Wallhanging Kit

This fun little wallhanging (15.5" square) has gotten lots of attention since Maddie brought it to the shop. It uses wool applique, a little hand stitchery, buttons and simple machine piecing.

Using Maddie's sample as their guide, our creative team curated kits including fabrics, wool, threads and buttons. The pattern by Annie Downs of Hatched and Patched is included in the kit.

40 colours of TEXtures Basic arrived this week, and we are excited for you to see them. The colours are soft and the texture pronounced. The array colours is a stunning, and gives you more options when you're looking for just the right one!

TEXtures is by TrendTex Fabrics, a Canadian distributor. All colours are available in yardage.

From your beloved Editor ....

The Country Christmas fabric shows a sizeable variety of animals yet no alpacas! What's with that? As those of you who read these editorials are no doubt aware - Quilters Cupboard is a big supporter of vocational training for alpacas recovering from distemper so would have been pleased to see these adorable and very practical creatures included in the fabric. Granted, they have nothing whatsoever to do with Christmas but this is likely due to a Euro-centric world view of years past. Or something like that. Maybe. I won't ask Assistant Editor Murphy's opinion as we know what he will say and he is watching hockey right now.
