Veterans Day is November 11!
Many ways to honor our veterans in West County. 
I hope you'll join me in honoring the men and women who have served our country in the military on Veterans Day, November 11. 

Here are the details for the numerous events planned in West County:

Wednesday, November 7

What: Contra Costa College Veterans Day Celebration
When: 9:30 am to 3 pm, November 7 
Where: Contra Costa College, Fireside Hall
More info: Event will include galleries of artifacts celebrating the history of the Buffalo Soldiers, and a presentation by the Northern California Buffalo Soldiers Troopers of the 10th Calvary Company 'G'. For info, [email protected]

Friday, November 9

What: Salute to Veterans Day Event in Richmond; entertainment and support services for veterans

Saturday, November 10  

What: San Pablo Veterans Day
When: 10 am to noon, November 10
Where: San Pablo City Hall, 13831 San Pablo Avenue 

Sunday, November 11 

What: Pinole Historical Society/City of Pinole Veterans Day Memorial;
traditional flag retirement ceremony, singing, school groups.
When: 11 a.m. to noon. (Noon luncheon for veterans at the Pinole Senior Center, for details call 510-784-9802.)

Wednesday, November 14

What: Operation Documentation -- County Clerk-Recorder-Elections Office
When: 8 am to noon, November 14
Where: Contra Costa Clerk Recorder Elections Office, 555 Escobar Street, Martinez
More info: Operation documentation is an effort to encourage Veterans to take their DD-214 (essentially, proof of service) to the Clerk Recorders office to keep and establish a permanent record and take advantage of all available benefits. Call 925.313.1481
