Let's keep working together
  • Take a Stand Against Racism with us. YWCA's annual Stand Against Racism campaign is virtual and takes place this week! We're asking local residents to create signs, tell stories, engage in a project or read the Stand Against Racism pledge together. Get involved

  • Give to YWCA's Emergency Relief Fund. YWCA Evanston/North Shore provides critical services to vulnerable families in our communities. During the Covid-19 pandemic our nonprofit needs your help now more than ever. Learn more

  • Donate essential in-kind supplies. You can help domestic violence survivors living at YWCA's shelter by providing food and essentials during this difficult time. Read the supply wishlist (updated weekly)

Thank you to our neighbor and friend Hubba Hubba

Here's an opportunity to help two local businesses with one gift card! For every gift card you purchase from Hubba Hubba this month, they will donate 20% of that amount to YWCA Evanston/North Shore.  Learn more
We'd love to hear from you!
How are you spending your days? Send us a note or a picture at ywshop@ywca-ens.org. Here’s what our shop volunteers have been up to over the past several weeks:
Shop volunteer Beth was inspired by Queen/David Bowie’s 1981 song “Under Pressure” and how the lyrics relate to COVID-19. Here’s an excerpt from a collection of illustrations she put together.
“I’m walking a lot, reading, streaming opera and sorting through hundreds of photos and albums. One of my favs… apparently I was rambunctious as a toddler and sometimes had to be on a leash! My grandma is 'walking' me.”

-- Jan , shop volunteer
“During the quarantine I’ve rediscovered some simple pleasures, such as music (I’m learning to play the piano!), long walks in the fresh air and the unexpected joy of having my three children home again.”

-- Debbie , shop volunteer
