Let's plan Manufacturing Day, 2018!
Workforce Planning Hamilton is planning a Manufacturing Day event which will bring together students and local advanced manufacturing employers during October 2018.

Evidence from Manufacturing employers shows that manufacturing businesses are facing significant recruitment and retention challenges.

Manufacturing Day takes place on October 5, 2018.

On October 24, 2016 WPH presented Focus on the Future: Hamilton's Advanced Manufacturing Career Fair at Mohawk’s Stoney Creek campus. Over 200 middle and high school students viewed interactive displays by 15 employers, toured Mohawk College, and tried hands-on activities. A site was created to share information: http://www.mfgdayhamilton.ca/

Hamilton Manufacturing Week was presented from October 23-27, 2017 in partnership with Edge Factor. The goal of this virtual event for students, teachers, and parents was to increase the awareness of the manufacturing sector.

A free Rock MFG DAY Kit was shared with high school teachers so that they could inspire their students and to reach parents.

Please take 3 minutes to share your ideas on what Manufacturing Day (or week) will look like in 2018.
