Upper School News
Good Morning Upper School Families,

We are about two hours shy of our annual Upper School Picnic and I am super excited! After eating burgers and hot dogs grilled by our very own Mr. Hunt and Dr. Dudek, our students will take part in the tug of war, sack race, watermelon eating contest and water balloon tossing. I am sure a good time will be had by al! Thank you to everyone, and student government members in particular, for putting on such a great event.

A few updates for the week ahead:

Friday September 13th - Picture Day
Get those sweet smiles ready!

College Night-Wednesday September 11-6-7:30pm, Library
Calling all 11th grade families! At this meeting, our fabulous college counselor, Ms. Stacia Campbell, will share pertinent resources and present essential facts about college choice, application procedures and strategies, and testing. Please RSVP to: scampbell@roycemoreschool.org.

FINANCIAL AID NIGHT-Wednesday, September 18, 6-7pm, Library
For seniors AND families. This evening is geared towards families who seek help navigating the financial aid and scholarship process. We will cover the FAFSA, the CSS, EFC calculators (no two are alike), financial aid v. merit scholarships, the good and the bad of outside scholarships, sample financial aid awards, and the hidden and true costs of college. If any acronym above is (understandably) mystifying, please attend.

Please see below for a few reminders:)

Yours Truly,

Medical Forms
If your child is a new student, we must have copies of their Certificate of Child Health Exam and Proof of School Dental Exam and Eye Exam Report forms by the first day of school. If your child is returning to Roycemore and entering 9th grade, we must have copies of their Certificate of Child Health Exam form by the first day of school. These forms are available on our website at  https://roycemoreschool.org/parents/roycemore-school-parent-resources/  State law requires this form be on file by the first day of school and your child cannot attend school without them.

Attendance
If you know your student will be absent on an upcoming day due to a medical appointment, college visit or other needed reason, please be sure to email: attendance@roycemoreschool.org. Students who will miss school should also take a form to their teachers for signatures and to get information on any classes they will miss. Forms are available in the Upper School office.
