Hope-Mongering parent/caregiver support sessions

This month:

Cell Phone Policies in Schools

Join us February 20 at 7pm on Zoom!

All across Oregon and Southwest Washington, schools are implementing cell phone bans in schools. Some bans are stricter than others, but nearly all schools are adopting policies that limit student access to cell phones.

Regardless of how you feel about this academically, it has a direct impact on kiddos who rely on cell phones as a means to manage their type 1 diabetes.

Join us and meet parents who have already been in the trenches advocating for their students' right to access their medical devices while retaining privacy around their health, as well as educators who want to help.

All parents/caregivers are invited to share their stories, successes and challenges around this emerging issue.

Hope-Mongering is always free!

About Hope-Mongering:

Each month we recruit an array of key voices to host a series of conversations: parents, young adults who grew up with T1D, health coaches, educators, dietitians, T1D doctors and nurses, and of course the GCC summer camp crew. It's a magic formula for conversation on raising a young person with T1D. We'd love for you to join us and add your voice, or just sit back and listen. Feel free to bring topics or questions.
