We are proud to share that our work together continues to have a positive effect in Baltimore City and County. Due to our dedicated staff, partners and donors, we are equipped to do great things in the community and, be recognized for our work .
2019 Hand Housing Achievement Award

The 2019 HAND Annual Meeting and Award Luncheon was in June and Restoration Gardens 2 received the award for Best Small Affordable Housing Project . Our entire development team ( French Development , Southway Builders and Quinn Evans Architects ) is thrilled to have received this recognition from our peers in the industry.

Eradicating Homelessness

In June, Governor Larry Hogan announced that the State of Maryland experienced a 9.7% decrease in homelessness statewide. As a recipient of the State's Project CORE funds (among other funding sources) we are proud of our work contributing to the eradication of homelessness in the state.

160 Volunteer Hours!

The team at AvalonBay stepped up in a big way this quarter. In both April and May (AVB Spirit of Caring Month ) AVB employees provided more than 160 volunteer hours to help EHM maintain and improve our properties. On the Horizon
Join AIRS | EHM | City Steps and the Baltimore Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Inc. for the 2019 National Night Out on August 6, 2019 at The Delta Center and Restoration Gardens in West Baltimore.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.

AIRS provides supportive housing, emphasizing self-sufficiency, for low-income and homeless individuals and families living with and at risk of HIV/AIDS.
EHM is a non-profit Community Housing Development Organization whose mission is to develop, manage and maintain affordable residential properties for low-income people and those with disabilities.
CITY STEPS is a consortium of residential programs serving homeless and unstably house youth ages 18-24 that include case management, life skills and clinical workforce development assistance.
