Letlow Takes Pro-Life Action!
Federal & State Legislative Action Needed
|
|
Greetings!
On Wednesday, Julia Letlow was sworn in as Congresswoman representing Louisiana's 5th Congressional District. And what was one of her first actions? Signing Congressman Steve Scalise's discharge petition to force Speaker Pelosi to hold a vote on the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act! Congratulations, Rep. Letlow, and thanks for standing for life!
With Rep. Letlow's signature along with that of Louisiana Reps. Scalise, Mike Johnson, Garret Graves, and Clay Higgins, a record 202 Representatives signed the discharge petition in a single day! The petition will need 218 signatures to force the vote. It is a shame that it takes action like this to protect born babies.
Sadly, some Democratic representatives in D.C. introduced legislation Thursday aimed at expanding the Supreme Court from nine to 13 members. This, combined with a host of other concerning federal actions, is a stark reminder of the pro-abortion dedication of the Congressional Democratic majority and the Biden Administration.
The 2021 State Legislative Session just started Monday in Baton Rouge, and we have already been at the Capitol for two fulls days! Thursday afternoon, an important adoption bill passed the House to improve adoption in Louisiana and make statistics on adoption more available to the public. Learn about other legislation in our action center, and ask your legislator to vote yes to our Abortion Pill Reversal Disclosure Act!
While we will not have a pro-life day at the Capitol this year, we still need your advocacy from home to contact your state and federal legislators. We are your voice for life at the Capitol, and your voice strengthens our presence!
For a Pro-Life Louisiana,
Benjamin Clapper

Bills range from disclosing information about abortion pill reversal to adoption tax deduction. With the passage of our constitutional amendment in 2020, we have the momentum we need to continue lighting the way to a pro-life Louisiana!
