This cycle premieres new arts and health grant program

Friends,

We are thrilled to announce that selected RISCA arts and culture grant applications opened on Feb. 1 with an April 1 deadline. Selected grants to use a new online application management system

An online information session on the new system is scheduled for Feb. 9

We are in the process of migrating our grant applications to a new online grants management system called Euna Grant Application Portal. For this granting cycle, the Arts and Health Grant, Project Grants in Education, and Project Grants for Organizations, will be using our new system.

To better familiarize you with the Euna Grant Application Portal, staff from the State’s Grants Management Office and RISCA will be presenting an online overview and step-by-step walk through of the new application Portal, on Monday, Feb. 19, 10 a.m.-11 a.m. During the session, you will learn the steps required to submit an application for a grant, and there will be time for questions. RSVP Required: How to Submit a Grant Application for the Euna Grants Portal Tickets, Mon, Feb 9, at 10:00 AM | Eventbrite

Additionally, links to the new application portal for the three grants can be found in several places on our website, arts.ri.gov -- embedded in respective guidelines; on the right panel of each grant program's page; and in the box on the left side of our grants page, labeled Euna Grant Application Portal.

We are here to answer your questions about the new system. So, feel free to reach out to the grants manager for the program you are interested in pursuing.

New Grant for Arts and Health Program

Finally, I am excited to announce our newest grant offering for our Arts and Health Program. Called the Arts and Health Incubator Grant, it will fund organizations or artists for planning, professional development, capacity building, pilot projects or coalition-building that use the arts to address one of the following health goals in the RI 2030 Plan.

The goals embedded in the Plan’s health priorities are:

  • Physical health and well-being.
  • Behavioral health.
  • Older adults and caregiving.
  • Healthcare system strengthening.
  • Equity for underserved communities.

Awardees of the Arts and Health Incubator Grant will also participate in a peer learning cohort during the project period. This group of artists, creatives, organization leaders, and health professionals will convene to share knowledge, challenges, best practices, and evaluation strategies, further building the arts and health field in Rhode Island.

On behalf of the RISCA team, we are looking forward to a seamless and successful grant cycle. I encourage you to take advantage of the many resources available to you for help and assistance with submitting a grant application.

Feel free to reach out to risca.contact@arts.ri.gov with questions.

Sincerely,

Todd Trebour
