Dear Skålleagues,

As you are already aware this year’s Skål International Annual General Assembly (AGA) is scheduled for December 10 at 5am Spain Time. This means it will be held virtually on December 9 at 11pm Eastern Standard Time. I’ve sent two emails to Skål President Bill Rheaume and the EC to see if they can change the date to the following day but both requests have been rejected.

Last year’s virtual AGA was on a date and time that was agreeable to almost every club. This year it will be held in the peak of our holiday season. Some clubs have already planned their Holiday Party for December 9. We had every one of our 45 clubs attend last year which was the first time that Skål USA played a major part in the vote. 

We ask that you to try to be on the virtual AGA and, if not, assign a delegate to participate. Some of the items are very important and we need our collective voices to be heard. Our own Burcin Turkkan is running for Skål International President and we should show our support for her.

Later this month we will ask every club who their voting delegate will be and most likely have a webinar to explain what will be voted on and how to vote.
