Who are NAHB's Builder Members?

Every year the National Association of Home Builders conducts a member census in order to better understand the composition and characteristics of the people who belong to its organization.  In 2015, 32 percent of NAHB's members were builders-those directly involved in home building.  The remaining 68 percent were associate members-those involved in supportive industries and professions, such as trade contractors, manufacturers, retailers/ distributors, designers, and architects.

Hello Members of the Building Industry!

I just wanted to touch base with you and fill you in on what is happening in the near future as well as looking back at what we have done already this year here in the association.  Being president has been super exciting, and I'm glad it's ONLY half way over.  We still have a lot to do before 2017.

2016 Events Thus Far
Looking back, we had a fantastic 50th anniversary Home Show in Duluth, MN.  From personally talking with some of the local businesses, they expressed numerous leads and sales during and after the show.  I call this a success for everyone.

Homes on Parade was also one of the strongest it has ever been.  We had 13 homes featured in Superior, Duluth, Hermantown, Esko, and Barnum.  New to this year was a private bus tour for the builders of the show giving them a sneak peek to the homes.  Other updates included a BRAND NEW magazine, online magazine, and a new website.  I can't wait to see what happens next year.

Looking forward we have some really exciting events coming up.

Lastly, I still stand strong to my personal mission statement where I would like to thank each and every one of our members of the ABA.  It's been a fantastic first six months, and I can only imagine what the next couple months will bring.

Hope to see you soon.
Sincerely,

David Hyopponen, St Germain's Cabinet & 2016 President of Arrowhead Builders Association

Why is it a good idea?
In today's new economy, budgets have been cut in almost every area, including  marketing  dollars. In the world of advertising, we are being bombarded every day with messages of new and improved products and services. Traditional ads that shout buzz words about how different they are from their competition or why someone should buy something, have lost their impact and prove to be a waste of money. A more effective alternative is becoming an event sponsor. Here are the top 10 reasons why it's a powerful way to promote your company.
