Greetings,

Like so much of life over the past 15 months, this year's College of Law Convocation was unlike any before it.

We gathered – in person! – at the airy UA Davis Sports Center for a safe, socially distanced, and very spirited celebration of our truly resilient and inspiring 2021 graduates.

Our extraordinary virtual keynote speaker was U.S. Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland, the first Native American to serve in a cabinet office in United States history. Secretary Haaland was introduced by Paulene Abeyta (’21).

Please join me in welcoming the JD, SJD, LLM, MLS, BA in Law, Certificate in Health Law, and Certificate in Regulatory Science graduates of the Class of 2021 to our Arizona Law alumni family.

Until the footnotes,

Marc

I can say with confidence – this is a graduation we will never forget.

The joy of being together, of celebrating such hard work, and one of life's great moments, may be one of the best antidotes on earth.

For those who could not be there, let me encourage you listen to the wise words of all our speakers, and bask in the strength and resilience of this amazing class and community.

Warmly,
