Dear Burlington Township Families,
This is a joint communication from the Burlington Township School District and the Burlington Township Police Department. Several school districts in the tri-state area have received unsubstantiated threats through social media, specifically TikTok, targeting their schools on December 17, 2021. Burlington Township School District is not aware of a specific threat to our schools or students. Even though there is no identified threat against our students, staff, or community, we are taking the posts being circulated on social media seriously and informing our community out of an abundance of caution. The Burlington Township Police Department will have an increased presence at all of our schools tomorrow.
Safety and security are a top priority for the Burlington Township School District and the Burlington Township Police Department. All appropriate protocols and procedures will continue to be followed to ensure the safety of our students and staff as we continue to work together. While there is no identified threat to our community at this time, the Burlington Township School District and Burlington Township Police Department continue to coordinate our efforts to ensure the safety and well being of all.
We are asking the community to be vigilant during this time and to please share any information you may have regarding suspicious activity. Thank you to our caring, informed community. Remember if you see something, hear something, view something, SAY SOMETHING.
