January 9, 2026

As we start the new year, I want to share some changes regarding our student recruitment and retention strategies. These are both crucial areas for our University, and I’ve initiated a reorganization of two offices to better align pathways for the student journey.

Effective, Monday, January 12, Katie Krodinger will be the executive director of Admissions and New Student Programs, combining those offices. Lenell Hahn will be the executive director of enrollment strategy, supervising the Registrar’s Office, SEMO Online & Graduate Services, the Office of Military and Veterans Services, SupportNET, TRIO/Educational Access Programs, and Early College Programs.

This change will help us better support our prospective and our current students by organizing the teams who work directly with those two populations. Since joining SEMO, I have learned that Lenell is excellent at identifying and eliminating barriers to students. She will be leading the teams focused on retaining our current students. Likewise, Katie is exceptional at working with families and prospective students and will work to reimagine our recruitment strategies and efforts based on that expertise.

I am confident this reorganization will benefit our students and our University. I am grateful to Lenell and Katie for taking on these new roles. I believe they will serve us well, and I ask that you give them your support as we make this transition.

Brad Hodson,
President
