Leveraging Mentoring for Gender Equality:
What Women Wish Men Knew About
Cross-Gender Mentorship

Join us for an in-depth discussion of gender equality!

Annual research evidence reveals stagnation on progress toward gender equality in the workplace. In addition to a persistent gender pay gap, women are underrepresented in positions of significant leadership in many fields. Although mentoring and sponsoring relationships offer a proven strategy for addressing these disparities, in the post #MeToo era, research evidence from LeanIn, Bloomberg, Forbes, and others reveals that men are reluctant to engage women in deliberate, public mentoring relationships.

This practical webinar with the author of Athena Rising: How and Why Men Should Mentor Women, will summarize research evidence bearing on what women say they find most useful in cross-gender mentoring experiences and how men can use these findings to become more effective colleagues and mentoring partners for women in the workplace. This webinar will offer practical strategies for men and women who want to be intentional, inclusive, and excellent at leveraging mentorship to create a more diverse workforce.
