Farm Updates - August 2024

Welcome to our first Lewallen Farms newsletter. Many of our guests visit the farm for a specific event, not realizing all its happenings. Our goal with our quarterly newsletter is to share a few beautiful pictures with you and keep you up to date on the different things we offer!

This summer alone, we have started hosting yoga, hosted the Cherokee Chamber of Commerce's Leadership group, welcomed Fostering Together from Woodstock City Church for a fishing event, and hosted our Wedding Open House. In fact, this week we saw a commercial being filmed on the farm!

We are now available to host mid-week days or overnight corporate retreats! The farm's facilities can sleep up to 25 people.

Our booking for corporate holiday parties is also now open. Please contact Kelly to inquire about dates. Saturdays and Sundays are filling fast, but we do have weeknight availability.

We can't wait to see you on your next visit to the Lewallen Farms!

Fostering Together Fishing Event

In July, we hosted 22 families at Lewallen Farms for fishing, connection, and games. We partnered with Woodstock City Church, Dugout Bait & Tackle, and Old Castle Concrete Products.

Dugout was generous in providing new fishing poles and equipment for each child. Oldcastle was generous in providing breakfast and lunch.

We had a great morning, and look forward hosting this event again in the future.

Weddings Summer Open House

Our bi-annual open houses are a great way opportunity to tour the wedding facilities, chat with our talented wedding coordinators and meet the great vendors we work with.

We welcomed 15 couples throughout the night. They were able to sample delicious food from Prestige Catering, taste cupcakes from Savvy Cakes, chat with HoneyRoot Photography and a showcase of others vendors.

Wiley Creek Reservations now OPEN!

Animal Spotlight: Penny

Penny is a 16 year old miniature donkey that has lived at Lewallen Farms her entire life. Penny lives with the other mini-donkeys behind the wedding deck, and loves when guests bring her carrots.

On your next visit to the farm, be sure to ask if we have any carrots available and visit Penny!

Lewallen Farms is a family-owned farm owned by Larry & Peggy Lewallen. They purchased the first 10-acre tract of the farm in 1990. Today, the farm has 380 acres of beautiful mountain views and is home to horses, donkeys, cattle, and more. Wiley Creek, North Georgia's premier duck hunting, is located within Lewallen Farms.

Lewallen Farms has an event venue that can accommodate up to 200 guests and specializes in weddings. It is also perfectly set up to host up to 25 overnight guests for corporate retreats. There are fire pits galore and 2 game rooms for guest use.
