From the President

Early voting is underway for the November 3, 2015, election for voters to consider a proposed $135 million bond package, called by the Lewisville City Council, that includes street, park and public safety projects. The package will be presented to voters in four ballot propositions.
This week I will highlight the $13 million for an indoor aquatic facility that is slated to be added to the new recreation center. The new aquatic facility will provide the community access to comparable amenities to those in neighboring communities. Lewisville residents voiced their opinions via the Blue Ribbon Committee and expressed a need for a new aquatic facility to better serve the community.
Note that the $13 million is separate from the $39.9 million for the proposed multi-generational recreation center and parks project. Voters must approve both propositions to execute the facilities as planned.
The Lewisville Area Chamber of Commerce supports the bond package. We encourage you to learn more about the ballot propositions and the positive impact they will have on the community where we live and work. Visit Yes Lewisville! for additional information.
