A Message from the
Director of Community & Alumni Engagement

Hello alumni! My name is Pam Schneider and I serve as Lexington Catholic’s Director of Community and Alumni Engagement. My children are LCHS alums – Buddy Schneider III ’98, Bo Schneider ’02 and Blair Schneider ’09 and in 2010, it was my honor to be recognized as an Honorary Alumna. As my children were growing up, I was often asked as to why I sent my children to Catholic schools. My answer was simple… they start their day in prayer and end their day in prayer. Not only do our children receive an excellent academic education, but they are in an environment that fosters faith, hope, and love.

I was a parent volunteer for many years at Christ the King and Lexington Catholic. My passion for and support for Lexington Catholic turned into a job that was supposed to last 6 months. It is now 20 years later! I treasure the relationships and the people I have met through the years…students, alumni, parents, faculty, and staff. Lexington Catholic is a special place and I feel it is a gift to help connect or reconnect our alums, work with the alumni council, assist alumni with reunions, and work on our events we hold in support of LCHS. This community is made up of wonderful, giving people! The years may change, but the incredible people do not!

Our alumni are vital to the success of our school. We need you! I know you are proud of this place you called a second home for 4 years. Please reach out to me, I look forward to hearing from you and would love to discuss what you would like to see from your alma mater.

We are in different times, but we will be able to gather safely again to tour the school, have reunions, and events. But in the meantime, if you would like to get together with a few classmates and work on updating your class’ contact information to get ready for your reunion, please let me know.

Please send in your updated information so we can reach you with our new initiatives, like this newsletter, and your birthday month email. Send in your joys so we can celebrate with you! I am proud and honored to be part of this community and I am blessed to work for and support Lexington Catholic. Lexington Catholic Knights are AMAZING!

Board Alumni Spotlight
Susan Gravette Lancho ‘86
Lexington Catholic has been part of my life since the 1980s when my three siblings and I attended and subsequently graduated from the school. My high school years were special, and I’m so grateful for the sacrifices my parents made so that all four of their children could receive a Lexington Catholic education.

A couple decades later my husband, Jorge, volunteered with the middle school basketball program, coaching our sons, Evan and Joseph “Jojo”, and other boys over several seasons. In 2019, Evan graduated from Lexington Catholic, and it was a thrill for me, as an LC alum and board member, to present his high school diploma to him as he crossed the stage. Jojo is currently in his last year at Mary Queen and played on the LC junior varsity soccer team this year. He will be a freshman at LC next fall.

I’m honored to serve on the Lexington Catholic Board of Trustees and am currently vice chair. It’s fulfilling to give back through my time, talent, and treasure to a school that has meant so much to me and my family. I thank all who have provided support to LC in the past and those who do so today. Your ongoing support allows the Lexington Catholic education that nurtures development of the mind, spirit, and body to continue.

Join the Alumni Council
Hunter Porter ‘11
Fellow Alums- It was an honor to take over this year as Vice Chair of our Alumni Council. I've enjoyed serving on the council the past three years and being a bridge between the school and alums. LC provided a foundation for future success and now is our time to give back. Please consider joining me on the alumni council.

Lauren Cambron ‘12
My name is Lauren Cambron and I am a 2012 graduate of Lexington Catholic. I joined the Alumni Council in 2019 after learning about the group from fellow LCHS classmate and now Vice Chair of the council, Hunter Porter. I am thrilled to have been nominated for the communications and marketing role, and hope to help us grow the council, increase the communication with aums, and help make an impact on the school! I chose to join as a way to get back involved with and give back to the Lexington Catholic community, and as a way to connect with fellow classmates and teachers. I invite you to join us on the Alumni Council and we welcome any ideas or suggestions you may have.

Spencer Lynch '13 is the Program Coordinator at Stewards Individual Placements.
Spencer says, "we place youth in positions all across the country from community engagement in Saipan to endangered species monitoring in the Grand Canyon. I really enjoy getting to facilitate a lot of these life changing experiences for young professionals as they search for permanent employment in areas like the National Park Service, US Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, and many other private sector positions. Safe to say, I would have never taken the opportunity to move west and work in the conservation/nonprofit world, had it not been for the awesome teachers and staff that gave me room to grow and question everything during my time at LexCath. AP Environmental Science class with Mr. Jacobelli was one of the most eye-opening and informative courses I have ever taken. He is a great mentor for young people and has a great relationship with those that he is able to teach about our environment and how we fit into all of it."
Knight Spotlight
R. Cutler Quillin III, MD '00

Dr. Cutler Quillin is an Assistant Professor of Surgery within the Division of Transplantation at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. His clinical practice includes liver transplantation and hepatobiliary surgeon. He was one of two surgeons who performed the first living donor liver transplant at UC in the past 20 years; an operation learned during his fellowship training at Columbia University’s Center for Liver Disease and Transplantation in New York, NY. Dr. Cutler Quillin said, “This operation highlights a new level of sophistication for our transplant center and provides our patients with an additional pathway to transplant, which might not otherwise be available. It also reveals the selflessness and incredible gift we can give to one another, which is important to consider especially in light of the current world events.”
