Ductor and Leyline Partnership


Leyline is partnering with Ductor Corporation, a Finnish biotechnology company that provides biogas operators with a new patented technology for their projects. We had an insightful conversation with Bill Parmentier, a project development lead for Ductor, about our collaborative development of a first-of-its-kind poultry waste anaerobic digestion project in Anson, N.C.

North Carolina has been an early leader in the clean energy transition, but the recent energy legislation, House Bill 951, does not align with Governor Roy Cooper’s set goals to address climate change. HB 951 leans on building new natural gas plants to replace retiring coal facilities, instead of focusing on the necessary renewable energy investments. Read our full thoughts.

This month, Leyline became a finalist for the Smart Electric Power Alliance’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Power Player of the Year Award. We are proud to be recognized for our efforts to expand diversity and address inequity in the renewable energy industry through the Leyline Addressing Racism Working Group, and we will continue striving to turn our commitments into actions.

Leyline announced a joint venture with Starwood Energy Group to partner with American Power Ventures for the development and finance of two stand-alone battery storage projects in the Virginia PJM territory and Texas ERCOT territory. These battery storage developments will reinforce the intermittency of renewable energy assets and subsequently improve the reliability of the power grids.
