This fall has been a successful and exciting for season for Leyline. This month, we announced that our projects collectively surpassed 4GW of potential renewable energy generation, representing more than $100 million in development capital commitments – a significant milestone for our company. We recently completed several transactions to get us to this point, including:
• Providing Belltown Power USA with the capital to begin the development of projects totaling 394MW.
• Providing a development loan to Solterra Partners to secure a power purchase agreement for a 100MW solar project in North Carolina.
Over the past few months, our CEO Erik Lensch participated in several virtual events, lending his expertise and learning from others about the barriers to financing energy storage projects. Diane Cherry, Principal, Diane Cherry Consulting, penned a guest blog post on the topic. Read more here.
Rebecca Chilton and Erica Reidy, founding members of the Leyline Against Racism working group, penned an op-ed in Solar Power World about what Leyline is doing to address systemic racism and social injustice, and how others in the renewable industry can join and make real and lasting change in our world.
At Leyline, we want to make investment decisions that combat climate change and help secure the future for generations to come. If you share the same goals and would like to work with us, don’t hesitate to reach out at devcap@leylinecapital.com
