Liberty Middle Community Member,

We have approached a well needed break and are certainly finding many reasons to be thankful for our family, friends, colleagues and available resources. Thank you so much to the Liberty Family for the contributions to help make 14 families Thanksgiving meals enjoyable. The support shown by our Patriots at-large was tremendous acts of kindness and generosity. I look forward to counting on you again for our Christmas holiday food and toy drives.

We are nearing the end of the second marking period and we want to keep up the momentum of learning. Students, please use the Thanksgiving break to get the needed rest as we want you to come back stronger and ready to Level uP! to the upcoming assessments. So please take any golden moments of time to read, practice math or do any enrichment assignments provided by your teachers.

A reminder, picture make-up day is December 2nd. We would love to see every smiling face in our yearbook.

Parents, please take advantage of our Tech Help Saturdays - a valuable time to help your child get caught up and to give you the technical know-how to assist your child. December 5th will also be a time for other tutoring opportunities; please monitor your emails for invitations.

Reminder:
  • YMCA before/after school care is available
  • Before school - $25 / week, 7:00 - 9:00 am
  • After school - free, 4:00 - 6:00 pm

Picture Make Up Day: December 2
LaunchEd Picture retakes will be December 2nd from 11:30 – 1:30 in the Media Center. Students should only sign up if:
  1. They bought pictures and would like to retake them
  2. They were absent/new on picture day.

Face to Face students will have picture retakes from 9:45 – 11:30 and will be called down for pictures. They also have to satisfy the top two requirements.

Retakes will take place in the Media Center.
Yearbook Cover Contest
The following students’ artwork will be featured on the front and back covers of the yearbook. Congratulations to each student for their submission. Other artwork will also appear within the signature pages of the book.

Tutoring
Tutoring at Liberty has been underway for a while now. Mondays are Face-to-Face and Tuesdays are via LaunchED. Students have been pre-identified. Parents, please check your emails to complete the invitations forms. If you have any questions, please email 101831@ocps.net with the subject line of “Tutoring Question.”

Please consider becoming a Liberty Middle School PTSA member. This is a great way to support Liberty and your PTSA this school year. Membership is only $5.00. There is a small fee to purchase memberships online but it is very convenient. You can also pick up a hard copy membership form in the front office.
