October 2024

Hello Christine,

Mostly in these newsletters, I offer little stories of things that happened to me from my perspective. I can't really share a story that is NOT from my perspective because I obviously don't have another persons perspective. After all, we each come to situations with our unique viewpoints, shaped by our experiences, both positive and challenging—trauma, addiction, anxiety, as well as joy, gratitude, and positivity.


I was recently reflecting on Asteya, the Yama of non-stealing, during a class. It’s easy to think “I don’t steal,” but we can also steal in more subtle ways—like cutting someone off when they’re speaking or taking away their power by offering solutions instead of just listening. I often find myself wanting to "fix" things for those struggling, but sometimes, people just need to be heard. How about you?


We all have our own struggles and judgments, but yoga helps us navigate life with more compassion and awareness.


The upcoming events at the studio are the Bhagavad Gita Course- a 10 session class led by Savita, to help guide us through life challenges and manage the struggles that arise. This begins October 19 with special pricing for those who have a membership package (AutoRenew )with us.


And don’t miss the Special YES session on Balancing Emotional Energies at Breathe Yoga Studio on Sunday, October 13, from 2-4 pm.
