Bonk Drums!

Kids ages 4 to 10 have fun "EXPRESSING" themselves with this one-hour interactive program as they are introduced to interesting drums and percussive instruments from around the world. The kids will learn basic hand drum and percussion techniques, 'talk' to one another using drums and make their own rhythms as they sharpen their listening skills and learn about musical dynamics. Using some exotic instruments, the group will even create the sounds of their own rainforest.

Reading Buddies

Grades Pre-K-3

Teens will read with your child for a 20 minute session.  Registration required.

Pebble Bounce
Mondays, July 2, 9, 16, 23 & 30
Ages 0-2 years
This  30-minute song and story time ends in a play session for our littlest patrons. One registration will last for the entire summer session.

Little Rockstars
Tuesdays, July 3, 10, 17, 24 & 31
Ages 2 and up 

Learn how to be a reading rockstar with this movement and stories class. We will explore the different styles of music that make us move and learn how we can be rockstars for our parents and friends. For ages 2-7 years old.  
One registration is required for the full summer session.    

Creative Kids
Tuesdays, July 3, 17 & 24
Ages 3 & up
Get crafty with Ms. Marie in this weekly creative activity! Create your own make and take craft with a parent/caregiver. Ages 3 and up. 
Each week is a separate registration. Click on the Registration link and select the date of your choice. Program is limited to 24 children.

Teens, ages 11 and up, are invited to a Hogwarts experience in their very own hometown. Filled with mystery and competition between Hogwarts houses, this event requires advanced registration.

Total Tutoring
Mondays, July 9, 16, 13 & 30
NEW TIME - 3:00-5:00PM 

Is your child struggling in school? Are other tutoring centers not working? Then join Total Tutoring today! It is run by high school students who want to give back to the community by helping our future leaders excel.
Tutoring is available for students in grades K-10  in math, science, English, history and world language. 

PLEASE NOTE: Total Tutoring will be on vacation during the month of 
August but will resume sessions again in September.

The concept is simple,

Sign up at the Children's Reference Desk. 
Keep a log of each book you read with your baby, toddler, or preschooler. Earn prizes for every 25 books read and a free book for every 100 books!

Enjoy a summer family outing with our
Sponsored by the Friends of the Sayreville Public Library.

The Sayreville Public Library circulates museum passes to
Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton,
the Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum in NYC, and 
beginning July 1st, the Battleship New Jersey in Camden.

 Pass policies are changing for September! 
Passes will be checked out for 2 days (example: check a pass out on Monday and it will be due back on Wednesday). 
 Reservations may be made up to 2 months in advance by speaking with a reference librarian.
