Drinking From a Firehose: Keeping up with Administration Initiatives

Every day there is news of the demise of yet another long-standing federal government agency or policy. While it’s difficult enough to keep up with just the news reports, it can seem nigh impossible to actually dig in and research the nitty gritty details of this deluge of regulatory change. As I was researching the progression of a regulation the other day, I recalled an excellent presentation that law librarians Susan Koenig and Quinn Ford gave to the Law Librarians of Puget Sound in January on monitoring administration change during the transition. They discussed a variety of trackers for keeping tabs on executive orders, cabinet appointments, and regulatory changes during the first one hundred days of the Trump administration.

We are excited to share that KCLL has partnered with Tacomaprobono to offer a Tenant’s Rights Legal Clinic and a Legal Aid Information Pop-up. Both clinics are offered once a month at our Kent Location in the Maleng Regional Justice Center and serve low-income patrons. You can read more about these offerings on our websit e.

Looking for Somewhere to Volunteer?

We are looking to collaborate with attorneys to offer classes on a variety of topics, including Guardianships, Protection Orders, Family Law, Estate Planning, Probate, and more. We are also looking for family law attorneys willing to participate in our family law forms lab at both locations. Our family law forms lab partners with the KCBA Neighborhood Legal Clinic program, which allows clients to ask questions about family law forms.
