“We’re able to kind of spread the word a little bit about how great public libraries are, and especially in Bismarck and Mandan, we have two great public libraries that offer a lot of programs for kids,” said Miss Sparkles. “And so, it kind of gets those families into the libraries and gets those kids library cards that maybe haven’t had their library card yet.”

Author: Megan Nix
Genre: Memoir
Collection: BPL New Book Shelf
Synopsis:
An Extraordinary Child, a Medical Secret, and a Mother's Quest to Break the Silence
Sarah's Recommendation:
This is a beautiful book about a virus everyone should know about. The story is powerful and insightful. My beautiful niece Pippa has CMV, and we aim to inform everyone about prevention. The author writes about her family story but gives so much insight to others with disabled children.
