Library Summer Reading & Happenings

The Library's Summer Reading kicked off earlier this month with a party on the street in front of Central, including free ice cream, a lottery for SF Opera tickets, Zumba lessons, and crafting with Pollinator Posse.

Check out the Library calendar, and don't miss out on more fun that's yet to come this summer!

Authors Dinner

We had a great time at the 19th Annual Authors Dinner last month! Thanks again to all our authors, event sponsors, donors, and volunteers for making this glorious outdoor event possible on our 25th anniversary year. Together we raised over $300,000! Gifts to the Foundation ensure support for library innovations, literacy projects, and building improvements not covered by tax dollars.

Please click on the photos to enjoy these 1-2 minute slideshows of our 19th Authors Dinner, featuring all the participating authors and some candids from the event. We hope to see you next year at our 20th Authors Dinner!

Your public library provides educational opportunities for every age and stage of life. It plays a central role in keeping our community connected and meeting the needs of under-resourced populations. Well-funded libraries are essential for an equitable recovery in a post-pandemic world. Donations of every size are welcome and encouraged. If made a gift already, we thank you!!!
