Do you often miss new titles by authors you adore? Do you find out a month late that there's a new book you want, only to find out that the hold's list is a mile long? As undeniably eager readers, the staff at Pelham Public Library knows well the anxious anticipation of waiting for new releases. In an effort to assist our patrons with getting new adult fiction releases quickly, we have an aptly-named program called "Popular Picks." You are invited to participate! Here's how it works:
  1. Click here to see a printable PDF off the authors included in Popular Picks.
  2. Print out the form, and check any authors you love.*
  3. Return the form to the library. Be sure to include your name and library card number!

After receiving your checklist, library staff will begin automatically placing hold requests on your accounts for titles by the authors you have chosen! It's that easy !

Staff Spotlight: Meet Ahnjayla
Hello! My name is Ahnjayla and I am a Library Specialist/Accounts Payable employee for the Pelham Public Library. I came to the library from a banking background and have been employed with Pelham Public Library for 8 years. As a library specialist, I primarily work both the circulation and reference desks and assist patrons by helping them find library resources such as books and reference materials throughout the library. I also have many varied responsibilities that must be completed while working these desks. As the account payable employee for the library, I perform all accounts payable and office manager functions and assist the library staff with maintaining their assigned spending budgets. When not working on the floor, I am one of the behind the scenes support employees that help the library run smoothly. I really enjoy interacting with the patrons in our community and am willing to assist them with their library needs however I can!
Three fun facts about me:
  1. As an adult student, I recently completed my BBA degree with Faulkner University.
  2. Purple is my favorite color; I love all shades!
  3. Best of all, I am blessed to be the wife to an amazing husband and mother of 3 wonderful adult children. As of October 2019, I have been promoted to Gigi, grandmother to our beautiful granddaughter, Harper Isabelle!
