Grand Re-Opening Celebration!

Join the celebration of Placentia Library District's 100th Birthday and the Grand Re-Opening of our renovated library. Come explore our new space, enjoy free food, and participate in special activities and events, including a performance by magician Dave Skale.

Hangar 101: Explore our maker equipment, including safety procedures and policies, so you can tinker on your own during Hangar open hours.

The Read, Write, Speak Club is a great opportunity to chat with other English language learners in a relaxed and comfortable environment. You will pick up new vocabulary and sharpen your pronunciation skills.

Join us for a fun-filled storytime on Saturday mornings as we read amusing stories, learn fun songs and rhymes that engage your child and boost motor skills and concepts such as their ABCs, counting and colors too! Join us after story time for a craft or creative time with Legos! All ages are invited!
Sunshine Babies Storytime

Get ready to clap and sing along, as we lead you and your baby through a sweet time of engaging songs, delightful stories and bouncing baby rhymes. Simple counting, rhyming words and color concepts prepare babies and toddlers for early literacy success. Class is open to all caregivers and their babies ages 0-18 months.

Busy babies can get their wiggles out in a storytime designed with music, movement and fun! Immersed in an engaging environment, toddlers will build on early literacy skills through rhymes, songs and silly stories preparing them to be kindergarten-ready! Class is open to all caregivers and their toddlers ages 18 months to 3 years.

!Cuentos en Espanol! Join us for bilingual storytime Mondays at Whitten Center, with rhymes, song and stories in English and Spanish! Children will learn new vocabulary in both languages and be introduced to the wonderful world of dual language learning.
Homework Help
Monday - Thursdays, 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.
(begins after September 14)
Children's Department
Students in grades K-12 are welcome to join the after school Homework Help area from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. Computers equipped with Tutor.com will be available for all students. Additionally, students in K-6 may receive in-person help from a Homework Helper.

Parents must register their child in-person at the Information Desk before students may join the Homework Help area.
