In conjunction with our upcoming summer reading theme of “Adventure,” we are happy to promote and encourage your participation in the 1000 Hours Outside incentive. According to their website, American children are spending 1,200 hours per year on screen time, and the program aims to reclaim some of that time in ways that shift the use of our time toward more productive and healthy outcomes. A thousand hours is a huge goal; why not see how close you can come? Tracking sheets are available on our website, in our Storytime Room, or at 1000hoursoutside.com
