Library and Township Closure

The Library and Township building will be closed for Township generator installation from May 22 through 24. The Library will remain closed from May 26 through June 7 for the Memorial Day holiday as well as a carpet replacement project. No items will be due during the closure and fines will not accrue. The outside drop box will remain available for returns during the closure, but items placed in the drop box will not be checked in until 6/7.

Inside|Out Art from the Detroit Institute of Arts

In partnership with the Detroit Institute of Art, Springfield Township Parks & Recreation and the Springfield Township Library, 10 installations of DIA reproduction artwork will spring up around our Township beginning May 2. On June 25, a DIA docent will give a talk about the hidden meanings behind images of flowers, plants in some of DIA's most favorite works of art.
