Coming Soon:
The NEW WCDPL Overdrive Collection
Popular eBooks and digital audiobooks available through the award-winning Libby app

Soon, WCDPL cardholders will have expanded access to a wide selection of popular eBooks and audiobooks free from the new WCDPL OverDrive Collection. “The WCDPL Overdrive Collection has been created to meet the local digital demands of our WCDPL patrons,” says Library Director Michael Penrod.

The new digital collection is expected to go live in early August. With their WCDPL library card, library users can borrow from both the Ohio Digital Library and the WCDPL Overdrive Collection.

Once the new service rolls out:
  • WCDPL cardholders will be able to borrow from the WCDPL OverDrive Collection by visiting wcdpl.overdrive.com or by downloading the Libby app
  • WCDPL patrons with holds in the Ohio Digital Library may want to transfer their holds on titles common to both collections to the WCDPL Overdrive Collection by placing new holds within the new service, where the wait times should be shorter.

Are you already an Ohio Digital Library user who enjoys the Libby app? You will be able to add the WCDPL OverDrive Collection to your Libby app by tapping on "Library," then on Libby’s face in the pop-up window. Next, tap "Add a Library" and enter "WCDPL" in the new screen, then select the WCDPL OverDrive Collection.

This program runs for 24 hours starting Tuesday, July 28, at 10 am with a post to the library's Facebook page . The contest ends Wednesday, July 29 at 10 am. As with previous online trivia contests, the Facebook post will include a link to a Google Form containing the trivia questions.
Contestants have 24 hours to choose the three correct answers from a list of six possible answers. At the conclusion of the contest, and after the winners are chosen, the game's Google Form will be made available for all to play for fun.
* Half Truth Trivia is based on the popular game,  Half Truth , created by Richard Garfield ( Magic: the Gathering ) and Ken Jennings (recent winner of  Jeopardy! 's "Greatest of All-Time Champion" tournament).

Youth Summer Reading Program, "Imagine Your Story!"
This year Summer Reading Program takes place all online. Register your child by visiting wcdpl.readsquared.com . Watch the library's website, wcdpl.org , our FaceBook page , and local media to keep up-to-date on Summer Reading Program activities and opportunities. Those registered through wcdpl.readsquared.com will receive occassion emails with Summer Reading Program news and are automatically entered into drawings held throughout the summer. SRP ends August 31.

WCDPL is changing gears as we move into late Summer and early Fall. As a result you may notice a temporary slow down in our online programming. Also, the library remains nimble in its response to the constantly shifting circumstances brought about by the continuing pandemic. Stay up-to-date with library news through the Let's Stay in Touch e-newsletter, at wcdpl.org , and our FaceBook page.
