Join us on the 2nd Tuesday of each month for instruction on how to do genealogy searching online using library resources. All skill levels and ages welcome. Please bring your own laptop or other device so you can participate in hands-on searching. Registration is required.

Cranberry Township Community Apiary presented by Mason Miller

Cranberry’s Pollinator Garden is designed to be a community resource for education about pollination and beekeeping. A part of Cranberry Highlands’ Audubon Sanctuary certification program, the garden provides a bee-friendly habitat adjacent to the municipal golf course for honey beehive placement and instruction. The Pollinator Garden is a joint project of Cranberry Township-which owns the facility-together with Cranberry Highlands and Burgh Bees. Discover how you can become involved with the local community apiary. Whether you want to become a bee keeper, a sponsor, or just want to help, we will find a niche for you. Bigfoot in Pennsylvania

Brian Seech is a researcher and investigator of the unexplained, including bigfoot. Learn about the history and local sightings of this mysterious creature. Afterwards, there will be a question & answer session and eyewitnesses can come forward with their sightings. Registration is required.

Witches of Western PA: Occult History & Lore

Babies and their caregivers can join us for 20 minutes of books, songs, and rhymes, followed by 20 minutes of interactive play. Recommended for ages birth - 18 months. Online Registration is required.

ABC Storytime

Homeschool Crafternoon
Thursdays, September 12 & October 10

For children ages 6-11. Stop by and make a craft in the Children's Department on the 2nd Thursday of each month. Leave when you've finished the craft, or stay and hang out with other homeschoolers! This is a drop in program, no registration required.

Craft-A-Connection Book Club
Thursdays, September 12 & October 10
6:00-7:00PM
Once a month we'll discuss a book, learn some stuff, and create a craft that goes along with the story. Copies of the book are available at the Circulation Desk to read BEFORE the book club meets. Open to children in 1st-3rd grade. Registration is required.

Tail Waggin' Tutors
Thursdays, September 5 & October 3
6:00-7:00PM
For elementary school children. Practice reading with one of our dog tutors on the first Thursday of each month starting in October. Join us at the Meet & Greet on September 5th. Online registration is required for a 20-minute reading session with a literature lovin' pup!

1st - 6th Grade LEGO Club
Tuesdays, September 17 & October 15
4:00-5:00PM
Join Ms. Janae in the Children's Department on the 3rd Tuesday of each month to work on the challenge of the month. Or, just free build with other LEGO enthusiasts. This is a drop in program, no registration is required. 1st-6th grades.

Drop-in STEAM Lab
Thursdays, September 19 & October 17
4:00-5:00PM
Stop in for our STEAM LAB. Create, learn, and explore during this drop-in program with a focus on STEAM. September's STEAM Lab is "Pirate Science," while October has us taking on "Spooky STEAM!" Takes place on the 3rd Thursday of each month. All ages welcome. No registration required.

Baby Cow Encounter

Have you heard the MOOs? Stop by between 1-3 o'clock to meet a baby Marburger cow! There will be moovalous activities and crafts. Open to all ages. Registration is preferred, but not required.

Halloween Bash
Thursday, October 24
6:00-7:00PM
Stop in for some fun Halloween crafts and activities. Feel free to wear your costume! No registration required, all ages welcome. Planned and presented by our fabulous Teen Advisory Board!

Please be sure to check all program descriptions for registration requirements. Due to space limits, many programs require registration, but some of them are "drop in."
Teens can test their scavenging skills by participating in our FIRST EVER Teen Literary Scavenger Hunt!

Sign up by September 22nd.

On the 23rd you will be emailed a list of items worth various points that you must find and take a picture with.

All photos are due by September 29th.

Tween/Teen Open Game Night

Come & test your gaming skills! This drop-in program is on the 1st Thursday each month for those in 4th-12th grades.

Teen Advisory Board (TAB)
Mondays, September 9 & 23 and October 7 & 21
4:00-5:00PM
Be an important part of the community by helping to plan and run events for kids and teens! TAB members also provide suggestions for new teen book and AV purchases for the library. Group typically meets every other Monday. Teens receive volunteer hours for all TAB events. No registration. For grades 7-12.

Teen Writers Club
Thursdays, September 12 & October 10
6:30-7:30PM
Do you like to write short stories, poetry, or prose? Come share your work and get feedback from other teen writers. There will be optional writing prompts and activities. Snacks provided. For teens in grades 6-12.

Tween Pixel Art with Perler Beads
Wednesday, September 18
6:00-7:00PM
Join us for this awesome craft! Use perler beads to create your own pixel design. Come with an idea in mind or follow the pattern from a provided diagram. Registration is required. For tweens in grades 4-6.

Teen DIY
Thursdays, September 19 & October 17

Stop in the Teen Zone to create a different Do-It-Yourself project each month. This is a drop in program, so no registration is required.

Teen Book Club

Teens, stop by the Teen Zone to discuss the book pick of the month or perennial teen favorites. Meet other teen readers and get recommendations. Snacks provided. No registration required.

Tween Frankentoys
Wednesday, October 16

Ask yourself, "what would Dr. Frankenstein do?" Come join us for an evening of Frankentoy creations. For tweens in 4th-6th grades, online registration is required and space is limited.
