Quilt Raffle
Friends of the Library 
Winner drawn Dec 4th

This quilt was created, pieced & bound and donated by Rev. Eleanor Doub. It was longarm quilted by Janet Holdridge and measures 82 X 92.  
Raffle tickets can be purchased at any branch of the Washington County Free Library. 
The drawing will be held Monday, Dec. 4, 2017 and the winner will be notified.

$2 each or 3 for $5
McCauley Lecture
Shepherdstown Ford and the End of the Maryland Campaign
Monday, Dec. 4th @ 7:00 pm 

Dr. Tom Clemens will discuss the book "Carman's Manuscript Volume 3 - Shepherdstown Ford, and Beyond." Many historians have maintained that the deciding battle of the Maryland Campaign of 1862 is not Antietam/Sharpsburg, but actually the fight on September 19-20 at Shepherdstown Ford.

Music will be presented by jazz musicians Bob Sykes, Darryl Brenzel and Lou Hinds. Come join us for cookies, tea and beautiful music that will put you in the holiday spirit.

Meet the Author: Michael Bornstein
 Tuesday, Demember 5th @ 6:30 pm


Holocaust survivor Michael Bornstein and his daughter Debbie will discuss their book Survivors Club.  The book narrates what happened to one Polish village in the wake of the German invasion in 1939. Michael himself was a four year old survivor of Auschwitz. Book signing following presentation with books available for sale.

A Chemically Active Christmas

Join us each month to explore a different topic related to STEM. Open to children ages 8 to 12. Registration is not required for this event. Free tickets will be available 30 minutes before the program and will be limited to 25 participants.

 Looking for something to do to pass the time while you wait for Santa? Join us at the library the day before Christmas Eve for a short Christmas movie and craft to get you even more in to the holiday spirit!
