Frederick Douglas: A Living History Presentation

Bill Grimmette portrays Frederick Douglas in this living history presentation.
Bill Grimmette is a Master Storyteller who is a past President of the National Association of Black Storytellers and is one of the founders of the National Capital Area Black Storytellers Association
As an actor, Bill has performed at the Kennedy Center, Arena Stage, The Shakespeare Theater at the Landsberg, the Milwaukee Repertory theater, New York's Cherry Lane Theater, The Virginia Shakespeare Festival and many, many more.

Who Were the People of Tolson's Chapel
Thursday, February 22nd @ 7:00 pm
Presented by historian and President of the non-profit Friends of Tolson's Chapel, Edie Wallace. On display will be newly acquired photographs of past members of the chapel and when the chapel served as a school. Edie will discuss who those members were & what they did. Tolson's Chapel served the African-American community for 132 years.

Meet the Author
United States Colored Troops in the Civil War

Author Bob O'Conner talks about United States Colored Troops who fought in the Civil War including black soldiers who fought for the Union from Washington County. Mr. O'Conner will have a selection of books he has written available for purchase and autographing following the presentation.
