Crafting
Ukrainian Pattern Darning Bookmark
Tuesday, Jan. 23rd @ 7:00 pm 

Join us in the Community Room as the Hagerstown Chapter of the Embroiderers' Guild of America leads us in the creation of a Pattern Darning Bookmark. Everything will be provided. Various colors of thread will be available and will be pre-cut. Class size is limited to 10 and is suitable for adults and older teens. Please call to sign up.

American Coverlets of the 19th Century
 Thursday, January 18th @ 7:00 pm

Presented by Mike Pasquerette, volunteer and former board member of the National Museum of the American Coverlet. Mike will discuss the types, materials required and those who wove the coverlets. Several coverlets and photographs will be on display, including coverlets made by a prominent weaver near Sharpsburg during the Civil War.

Meet the Author: Lisa V. Proulx

Lisa describes herself as a laid back, Bohemian, 70s rocker chick who loves to write! She writes horror, inspirational, and non-fiction books and under the pen name, Veronica Moreau, writes sexy rock and roll romance. 
Weedmonke y was most recently featured at the Miami Book Fair where it received the  Honorable Mention in the Reader's Favorite Book Awards (Non-fiction-Memoir category).

Solo, duet or trio singing or instrumental acts, dance performances and dramatic interpretations welcome.

Family Movie: The Nut Job

Surly Squirrel and the gang are back. They are once again in Oakton where the evil mayor has decided to bulldoze Liberty Park and build a dangerous amusement park in its place. Surly and his ragtag group of animal friends band together to save their home, defeat the mayor, and take back the park. (1hr 32min; rated PG). The Friends of the Library will be serving popcorn.
