New York Photosongs

with John John Brown

We welcome you back to the library for an in-person program featuring award-winning songwriter, John John Brown! Armed with his guitar and inspiring 4×5 foot photographs, Mr. Brown will share the amazing true stories behind some of New York State’s most iconic photographs through a series of original folk songs. No registration required.

Envisioning America:

Colonial and Revolutionary Period Art

Sunday, November 13th at 2:00 pm (Zoom)


Popular art historian Sue Altman kicks off a 5-part series on Envisioning America: How Artists Have Pictured the Country from the American Revolution to the Social Justice Movements of the 20th Century.


In Part One, Sue will discuss the Colonial and Revolutionary periods including artists like John Singleton Copley and Benjamin West.  Registration required for this Zoom program.


Adult and Teen Yoga (Zoom)

Limber Up Chair Yoga (Zoom)

Tuesday, November 15th at 11:15 am


The 30-minute class includes seated and standing exercises with the support of a chair Registration is required to receive the Zoom information. 

Teen Tuesday: Candle Making

Tuesday, November 15th at 4:00 pm


Join us for a fun candle making workshop where you will create your own personalized scent! This in-person program is for ages 11 and up. Registration required.

Digital Photo Class

Wednesday, November 16th at 4:00 pm


Taught by a professional graphic artist, students will learn photo retouching, manipulation and creative techniques using the free web-based Photoshop alternative- Photopea.


This is a series of project based, one hour classes where each class will feature a stand alone topic. This program is open to grades 3rd through 6th. Registration is required for this in-person program.

Knit Wit with Marissa

Wednesday, November 16th at 4:00pm


Are you interested in learning how to knit? Getting ready for Holiday Gift-Giving? This program series is a continuation of our previous classes. Please bring size 8 knitting needles and a simple medium-weight yarn. Registration required.

Preschool Storytime

Thursday, November 17th at 2:00 pm


Our Pre-School Storytime will take place on Thursdays through December 8th at 2:00 pm. This in-person program is recommended for ages 3-5. Registration required.

Crochet Class (Zoom)

Join us for our weekly crochet class.  You should have a basic knowledge of crochet in order to participate in this program. Registration required to receive Zoom information.

Graphic Novel Club

Thursday, November 17th at 4:00 pm


Join us for a lively discussion of “Aster and the Accidental Magic“ by Thom Pico, followed by a fun activity. For ages 7 - 10, Grades 2-5. Print copies of the book are available for pickup at the library. Registration is required for this in-person program.

Friday Film Series: Blind Ambition

Friday, November 18th at 1:30 pm


Four friends form the first-ever Zimbabwe wine tasting team to compete in The World Wine Blind Tasting Championships—the Olympics of the wine world. This film follows their ambitious path to their unlikely spot in this annual competition held in France. Documentary. 96 minutes.
