Summer 2022 Community Wide Reading Goal

When our community reads a total of half a million minutes,
the Friends of the Library and Usborne Books Literacy for a Lifetime will donate $1000 of children's books to the library!

Log your reading and completed activities from the comfort of your own home using our mobile device app or a computer. 

Why should kids have all the fun? Adults can log time spent reading and complete activities to earn virtual badges, and tickets for awesome prize drawings. Each participant will receive a newly designed Cosmo the Library Cat sticker
and a yummy treat just for registering, and a completed challenge
earns you a bonus prize as well!

Library staff and a board member had a great time cooking a huge summer garden supper for Youth Garden Project's Weed 'n' Feed volunteers on June 29th. Thanks Jenna, Rae, Jessie and Tim! And thanks YGP, for all you do for our community!

Our Library Book Clubs Are Ready to Welcome You!
Why join a book club? It's a great way to establish a sense of community with other readers. You'll make new friends and expand your literary horizons. Discussions help you find new perspectives and enjoy a deeper understanding of what you read, and best of all, it's fun! Two Library Book Clubs are always ready to welcome new members, and the library works to provide multiple copies of each book selection!

Teen/Tween Challenge (10-18 yrs)

July Musical Story Hour
with Glenn Sherrill and David Steward on guitar and other instruments

Saturday, July 16th @ 10:30 am @ SWANNY PARK
Musical Story Hour is a collaboration between the Moab Music Festival and the Grand County Public Library, with additional support from the Synergy Company and the City of Moab. It is always free and suitable for newborns through early elementary age.

Active Songs, Rhymes, and One or Two Short Books
Mondays @ 10:00 am in the library's courtyard

Please note - The library will be closed July 4th
in observance of Independence Day, so there will be no storytime on Monday, July 4th.
