Join Mayor McFarland and Councilmember Donna McBride in celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Mayor's Reading Club! Volunteers, teachers, and the public are all welcome! 

Monday, March 27th from 5:00-6:00 p.m. @ The Main Library

This club is for all of our inspired builders and creators. Kids just like you! We will meet two Thursdays each month after school at the Main Library from 4:15-5:00 p.m.

Teens and Tweens come join the Vista Grande Library Spring Party with Egg Hunt and Games!  Fill out a raffle ticket for a prize to be drawn at the end of the party. (Must be present to win.) Free snacks and drink provided. Presented by TAB (Vista Grande Library Teen Activity Board).

Friday, March 31st from 6:00-7:30 p.m.

This program is for adults who want to prepare for the U.S. Citizenship interview and written examination. Our volunteer will facilitate a series of weekly discussions designed for adults who want to prepare for the US Citizenship interview and oral examination.

Meets weekly from April 3rd through May 8th at the Main Library from 4:00-6:45 p.m.


Join TAB, the Teen Activities Board at the Vista Grande Library. We meet once a month and are in charge of planning the events at the library for teens. You can also earn volunteer hours for coming and helping at the event itself. 

Intended for High School aged students, grades 9-12.

Next Meeting, April 4th from 3:35-4:45 p.m.

This spring stop, by the Main Library or Vista Grande Library and pick up a reading log! Children ages 4-12 can earn a free hamburger or cheeseburger from our local In-N-Out when they read 5 books!


ESL Fall 2021

ESL at Vista


The Vista Grande Library offers a free English as a Second Language class. Come to learn Basic English, Reading and Conversation Skills with Ms. Yael on Tuesdays 10 am to 12 pm.

No registration is required, just bring paper and a pencil.

Preschool Storytime at Main

Join Youth Librarian, Ms. Julie, as we read books, sing songs, and do activities each week based on a fun theme. Storytime will be followed by either a simple craft or a snack each week. Tuesdays at 10 a.m.


Library Buddies

Join us Tuesday morning at 10:30 for a special playgroup at the Main library. We will be playing with educational toys, cars, blocks, etc. This is a great opportunity to play one-on-one with your children and meet other parents!


Kid’s Makerspace

Something different for kids every Tuesday at your Vista Grande Library. Art classes, building days, and more! Program is intended for kids ages 6-12. Children under the age of 12 must have a parent present in the library.

Class will be capped at 10 children,

Preschool Storytime

Join Mr. David at Vista Grande library with stories, songs, puppets and more that encourage development of Early Literacy skills in young children. Preschool Storytime begins at 10 a.m. on Wednesdays

and is intended for children ages 3-5, but all children are welcome.


Kids' Gaming

Bring the kids down to Vista Grande Library for a variety of video games and board games. Program meets Wednesdays from 3:30 -4:45 p.m.

Parents required for children under 12.

 

Toddler Storytime

Enjoy an interactive Storytime with your child that includes Early Literacy fun with books, songs, fingerplays and body movement. Toddler Storytime at Vista Grande begins at 10 a.m. on Thursdays and is intended for children ages 0-3,

but all children are welcome.


Teen Anime and Manga Club

Every Friday from 4:00 p.m.-5:30 p.m.


Drop-in Saturdays @ Vista Grande Library

There's always something fun for kids to do on Saturdays at your Vista Grande Public Library. Come and experience everything from arts and crafts to cooking classes, and board games to building days. 


Family Movie with a Fun Activity @ Main Library
