Opera Club: Rossini's Le Comte Ory

Sunday, August 11

1pm - 4pm

Coloratura soprano Diana Damrau is the countess Adèle, the object of desire of both the page, Isolier (mezzo Joyce DiDonato), and the Count of the title (tenor Juan Diego Flórez), who spends half of the opera disguised as a nun. Maurizio Benini leads the Met Opera Orchestra and Chorus through Rossini's sparkling score. English subtitles. The opera runs 2.5 hours plus intermission. In French with English subtitles. All adults are welcome.

This program is generously funded by the Friends of the Edgartown Free Public Library.
