Karen Mack Issues a Marathon Challenge

The Library will be participating in the Sedona Marathon on February 2, 2013. Please consider joining the Sedona Public Library team as we walk the 5K, raising money for Library operations through pledges.

A challenge is hereby issued by Youth Services Librarian Karen Mack: If, by the day of the race, a minimum total of $2,013 is pledged in support of Sedona Public Library, she will complete the entire 5K Sedona Marathon with a copy of her favorite book and a monkey balanced on her head.

A monkey? Seriously! Karen's official pledge sheet is at the Sedona Library youth reference desk and will be there until the race. Drop in, make a pledge, meet Karen, and on February 2, find out the title of her favorite book.

Join the Friends of the Library

The 2013 membership drive for the Friends of Sedona Library is underway, and current members of the Friends group will receive their renewal forms in the mail.

The Friends provide more than $100,000 annually toward the Library's budget. Book sales and other fundraisers bring in more than half of this amount, but the membership drive is still a priority.

To print out a membership form, click here or pick up an application at the Library.  Your financial assistance is much appreciated.
