Current Services and Hours at the Library
Sedona Public Library has been gradually reopening. Please know that our top priority is to provide a healthy and safe environment for everyone. Note that wearing masks is required in the Library.

SPL in the Village has resumed its five-day schedule with limited access. ( Please see this article for more information about services at SPL-V.)

The main library in West Sedona is now open for the following hours and services:
  • Browsing the Collection: Monday through Friday, 2 to 5 p.m. only. Browse the collection and check out the items you've chosen, as well as check out your items on hold.
  • Computer Use and Indoor Wi-Fi Access: Monday through Friday, 2 to 5 p.m. only.
  • Parking Lot Pickup: Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. only. To pick up items available on hold, call 928-282-7714 from the parking lot and give us your library card number and PIN. Items will be checked out and brought to you.
Items on Hold
Please take note that when an item on hold becomes available, you now have 10 days to pick it up. If you no longer want or need items that are waiting to be picked up, please cancel them online or let us know and we'll remove the holds from your account. You can check your account online for up-to-date information on your holds.
Youth Services Update
The 2020 summer reading challenge continues through July. There's still plenty of time to reach the goal of reading or listening to books for 1,000 minutes.

Youth of all ages can pick up a summer reading bag at the Library, which includes a reading log and stickers to help them keep track of time spent reading. The bag also includes a state park day pass and an educational activity. Free books, provided by the Arizona State Library, Archives & Public Records, a division of the Secretary of State, with federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, are also included.

Tracking your summer reading time online is fun, too, as you can unlock games and activities, read and write reviews, and work on your game board. Also, online registration will automatically enter participants in the August 1 drawing for various gift cards, a Bearizona vehicle day pass, and more! Tracking by paper only? No worries. Just call youth services at 928-282-7714, ext. 119, or pop in before July 31, and we will get you entered in the drawing.

Online story time continues this month on Facebook and our website. Check out the flashlight-fun video--not only does it inspire a use for your summer reading bag, it's the coolest craft ever!

AARP Tax-Aide Will Not Resume in Sedona This Year
Because of the continuing threat of COVID-19, the Sedona Library AARP Tax-Aide location will not re-open for the 2019 tax filing season, which ends July 15.

The IRS has made several free options available online for taxpayers to file their own taxes. Go to www.irs.gov and click the link "Do Your Taxes for Free." You may also file an extension using Form 4868 to gain extra time (until October).

Note: The Gateway Mall Tax-Aide site in Prescott will be open for the filing season. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call 928-277-1560.

  • You may return materials from the Yavapai Library Network in the book drop box.
  • When you have been notified that your holds are available and you are ready to pick them up, come to the door and give us your name. While it is not necessary to call in advance, it expedites the process if you are picking up several items. You do not need to call if you are returning items.
  • We currently have three computers for public use. Computers are available on a first come, first served basis. Masks are required, and computer sessions are limited to 30 minutes.
  • SPL-V has free Wi-Fi available. If you bring your own laptop, you will need to use the Wi-Fi outside. Please see staff for the Wi-Fi password.
  • This location offers printing, scanning, and faxing services. We also have a self-service copy machine.
Without you, we would not be able to offer library services in the Village of Oak Creek. We look forward to seeing you at the Village library soon!

Sedona Public Library in the Village is at Suite 51 A in Bell Rock Plaza. If you need assistance, call 928-284-1603 or email voc@sedonalibrary.org
